Hi everyone.  Just to let you know, I asked if we could show how to use e-cutters with MDS in April 2012 before I spent the energy.  I had several people asking me for information but didn't want to get in trouble.  Compliance specifically said, absolutely not even though we don't have a competing product. I even told them it was another avenue for us to promote MDS.  They still said, "No".  It may have something to do with contractual obligations with Sizzix or something.  Anyway, since I saw this, I asked them again hoping the rule had changed.  Just wanted you to know so you don't get in trouble.  Let's keep our fingers crossed.  They're supposed to start reviewing on Monday, May 6, 2013.

Holly has a video on how to export SVG files for an e-cutter.  Since we don't have a competing product, I would think it's fine.  Our demonstrations should promote Stampin' Up! products, but I think you can promote MDS as well as other products for hybrid projects.

Oh thats awesome Connie! My upline told me I had to remove a similar post and not to hold classes with any cutters. I am going to call SU too, to see why she asked that of me! Thanks for the info:)

I wondered what the problem was as well.  I don't see anything that violates any policy I've read.

Lizebeth, what are you warning about?

Comment by Connie Collins on November 29, 2012 at 12:30pm

Thanks Lizebeth. I have talked to compliance on several occasions to make sure my videos don't violate any SU polices. If there is a problem, I have do doubt that someone from SU will contact me about removing them. Unless there is a new policy within the past few weeks that I am not aware of, I think this video is OK.

Careful about posting!! My upline informed me new policies with SU are clearly against these sorts of posts??

THank you for this. Was really hoping SU would have their own e-cutter but will have to give the sale to someone else. Off to order one now that I know what to do.

This is wonderful!  I am new to using e-cutters, but when I saw MDS2 could print and be used by e-cutters, I jumped in.  I got a great deal on an EClips.  I haven't quite figured it all out though.  It would help if I could find a video like yours that shows an EClips.  Does anyone know of a video that shows the whole process of moving a file from MDS2 to EClips like this one?

Connie this is really great!  I don't know what software you use for your video, but I have added a photo to MDS and turned it into a DVD/slideshow and then edit your clip into your video.  I don't know if that will work for you, but you could try it! Thanks for sharing!
