Cindy: Recently I saw the neatest wood blocks with quotes on them and right away I knew I could re-create them with My Digital Studio. Then, the Grateful Hearts Framables (item 135238) came out! Then, I was asked to do a guest blog post for something fun for fall! Perfect timing? I think so!
To create quickly for this post, I designed a project to have printed locally. When
I opened my project, I created it as an 8" x 10" custom size. (Just change the width and height to fit
whatever you need.)
My blocks measured 4-1/2", 7-3/8", and 8-3/8". So, I added square punches to my page and made them slightly smaller than the actual blocks and filled them with Basic Black. Then, comes my favorite MDS feature—CROPPING! I used the stamp images from the Grateful Hearts Digital Download and cropped them down to fit each punch box. You can see that I could crop out the sunflower and butterfly to just get the words. This tool gives your stamps and even embellishments many new ways to use them in all your projects!
Once I got the printed page, I cut and adhered the photos to the painted and distressed wood blocks. I added some traditional products to my finished blocks. I used the three different buttons from the Naturals Designer Buttons (item 127554) and attached them with glue dots.
