How to Throw a Hello World Baby Shower

Between my family and work, there is always an upcoming birthday celebration or shower. In fact, in the first part of May, there were two baby showers at work, so it was perfect timing that we had just released the Hello World Ensemble (AU/NZ). For the most part, we used the templates exactly as-is and embellished with ribbon or added the pieces to delicious cupcakes and favors. We changed the “Baby Gifts” sign to say “Baby Shower” and it was the perfect signage on the door to the party.

I love the coordinating invitation that comes with the download:

But, I decided to really make the invitation pop by adding a few colors to highlight the mom-to-be’s name, the baby’s gender, and an anchor. I also changed the orientation from landscape to portrait. It’s a perfect example of how much you can customize the download!

And speaking of customization, you could use the pieces for a birthday celebration or a fun baby book.

What have you made with this download?

Alana, where is the new Stampin' Up! chalkboard marker?  I looked in the Stampin' Up! store (and all through the new catalog) and can't find it.

NEW THOUGHT/QUESTION:  If we made a guestbook out of this download and used the print service... would the new S.U. Chalkboard marker work on the pages?  meaning print a black page with chalkboard frame pre-printed, could we use the chalkboard marker on the black pages and have the text show up looking like chalk?  or are the pages too glossy for that to work?  thanks for the help!!!

I have to say I love this download and used it for a High School graduation party. I thought the chalkboard motif was perfect and used the "Hello World" embellishments and the polka dot banners for a cute banner.  I also used the sweet treat embellishments and made labels of my own for our school color candy buffet.
