Hello Fall Pocket Cards by Holly VanDyne

I’ve always loved divided pages way back before they were one of the hottest things around. I was so excited to see the new Hello Fall Pocket Cards download and knew they would be perfect to use with the 8" x 8" divided page protectors.

This page is a family fall page using pictures we just had taken. I love hybrid scrapbooking so I printed out the cards and added some fun dimensional elements to them like the “love this” heart from one of the cards in the kit. Once it was printed I cut the heart out, outlined it with a black Stampin’ Write marker, and put it on my photo with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

For my journaling I used my Stampin’ Write marker to write my words on a sheet of Crumb Cake Smooth Cardstock, outlined them in a rectangle, cut them out, and then adhered them to the cards.

I also added my photos to some of the pocket cards in MDS before I printed them out. That way the design elements on the cards like the banners and text can overlap your photos.

When working on a page of pocket cards in MDS I find it so much easier to create a new page inside of my project of cards and copy over all of the ones I want to print. In the Hello Fall download there are six pages of pocket cards and I didn’t want to print all six when I knew there were ones I wouldn’t be using for this project. TIP: To create a new page to play with just go to the INSERT menu then NEW PAGE. It will add a blank page to the end of your project.I also used the Hello Fall pocket pages download to make a few pages for my girls’ “Thankful” book. I love the daily thankful posts on Facebook from everyone and thought it would be a great idea for my girls to do this month. I printed out a 2" x 2" pocket card for each day, replacing the leaf with each numbered day. The small cards had plenty of room for her to write what she was thankful for every dayTo finish off the cards, I rounded the edges of each card using my Stampin’ Up! Corner Punch.

I can’t wait to see what projects you create using the Hello Fall Pocket Cards. Don’t forget to upload them to the gallery!

Okay...you've totally inspired me with this fabulous project. You've done everything that I've been itching to do from your pocket pages to the hybrid scrapbooking. Off to play!!

Holly, these are fantastic!! I love your idea for the girls' gratitude journals. Andrew hates to write, but if he only had a small space to write then he might actually do it. Genius!

This is wonderful Holly!  I love your pages and how you did the journaling.  And the girls' handwriting is priceless!!
