Download Dish—A little love for Affection Collection!

I wanted to highlight one of my favorite new(ish) downloads today, Affection Collection. We released this one on January 8, but I think a lot of you missed it because I haven’t seen very many samples posted on MyDigitalStudio.net that use this set. What’s up with that? It’s so cute!

I know this isn’t a Valentine set, but since it is Valentine’s Day I decided to use it to design a simple “love” card. I love how the artwork in this set plays between being classic and funky, and I think the images look fantastic layered together. Here is what I came up with:

It’s such a simple design, but very versatile. I wanted to see what else I could do with this layout, so I used one of my very favorite new features in MDS 2, the suggested color combos tool, and in just a few short minutes I had created two additional cards.

I changed out the greeting stamp, but kept the exact same layout. I pulled up the suggested color combo tool and clicked “surprise me” a couple times until I found some color combos I liked. It was as simple as that! (Click here to learn how to use the suggested color combo tool.)

I was in the mood to create cards today, but I think the images in this set would look fantastic on photobook pages and home décor, too! I would love to see what you are creating with this set, so give Affection Collection some love and share your projects with us here on Mydigitalstudio.net!

I actually just used it again last weekend making valentine's gift-card holders for the ladies at work using the words 'friend' and 'always'. That was my first all-paper project (not even an mds hybrid! *gasp*) in a loooooong time! haha! meaning I can't post it on this site - sorry! But seriously - I was SOOOOO happy when you guys released in digital! This is like the next extreme elements! and will collage nicely with extreme elements too! When my stamp sets get packed up this summer (building a house), then I will be relying heavily on this stamp brush set! Even though my craft room will be stuffed away in boxes - I will probably crafting more than ever - Thank goodness for MDS!!
