Crazy in LOVE for Banners and Sale-A-Bration!

I have fallen in love with banners! With My Digital Studio, they’re so easy to make that I’m making one for each holiday and season—and even for no reason at all! So what season is next? Valentine's Day! And the Sale-A-Bration content was perfect for my project.
To create this banner I used the 8-1/2" x 11" landscape page. I added the flag punch, made it the size that I wanted, and then filled with First Edition Designer Series Paper. I added the newest Heart Collection 1 and 2 Punches and filled them with the AWESOME Sale-A-Bration CD Designer Series Paper, Everyday Enchantment (which you can get for FREE!) and the coordinating fill-in colors. I changed the shape of the hearts by "smooshing" them on the sides for a taller heart. I then copied and pasted over four additional pages to get seven total pieces for my banner.

Here are all four pages together.
I added several Butterfly Shape 2 to the last page in the matching colors and sized them to fit the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die. The title strip was created with a text box and Heart Punch. I printed all four pages at home on Whisper White Card Stock. That card stock is the BEST quality for printing at home. I cut the butterflies out very closely and then used the Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die to cut them perfectly out. I then cut each banner piece out. I sponged Crumb Cake ink on the edges of all pieces and assembled.
To add an even more hybrid quality to the project, I added the cute brads from the Everyday Enchantment Ribbon and Brad Pack that you can get for FREE during this Sale-A-Bration promotion. Then I finished it off by hanging them on some hemp twine with the mini clothespins. (I just used the same twine and clothespins I’d used for another banner last month!)
Watch for more banners coming your way on MyDigitalStudio.net from me. I just can’t help myself!

Welcome Donna! I created the butterflies in digital a little larger than the embosslit butterflies true size. So I cut around the printed butterflies leaving some white edge so that I could place in the embosslit perfectly. I wanted that embossed texture on my butterflies. Also the larger printed copy would not fit into the embosslit folder so I had to cut in down to fit and then run in my Big Shot. Hope that makes sense. Thanks for asking!

OK, I'm new here.  May I ask:  Why did you print out butterflies, and cut them closely, THEN use the embosslit die to "cut them perfectly out"?  Why 2 cuttings?

awesome, thanks.   I'm pretty much a traditional scrapper and card maker, but am getting excited about being able to print papers and things for hybrid!    I'll have to post my first hybrid card.

do you happen to know if it's an .svg file?  The reason I'm asking is because I downloaded the Eggceptional Easter kit last week and was surprised to find a doily svg file in the kit.  This is awesome because I can cut those with my Cricut machine.

The flag punch is not in a "set". It is a download # 125785 for just 95 cents. :)
