What a fun challenge this one was! We just loved to see all of your creative journals! It seemed like each entry was a personal project, like we could learn more about you just by looking at it. We hope that you treasure your creations and that they get some good use in this new year! Thank you all for participating!

We have a few honorable mentions to make below before we announce this week's winner.

Cindy Schuster's journal was nothing short of pure inspiration. So neat, so clean, yet so handmade. We loved it! Thanks for sharing!
And Heibi Baks' journal for her roommates at Leadership 2013 was breathtaking. Do you have a waiting list for next year? Sign us up! ;)

Now, on to this week's winner. Drum roll please....

Sharon Maranich's Life & Moments Journal! We loved your color scheme, your combination of patterns and textures, and your attention to detail with all of the little elements. Great job!

So, are you ready for a new challenge to test your skills? Well, here it is!

Your challenge? The gist of this challenge is to design a bunch of independent elements that fit great together on one "divided" page. Other than the The Best Year Photobook Template which completely dominates this style (image above), there are examples of this design style all throughout the annual catalog (cards: 39, 123; scrapbook pages: 166, 169; other: 126) and we even used this style in our spring catalog (37).*

*all links are from the US catalogs.

You can treat the above image like a scrapmap if you'd like, but feel free to make a lot of variations on this one—you can do a card instead of a scrapbook page, you don’t need to use the exact shapes, etc. Use as many or as little different pieces as you like. Get creative and have some fun!

Also, it can’t hurt your chances if other people think your sample is grand too, so make sure to blog, tweet, post, and pin it everywhere you can. Ask your customers and friends to like, favorite, and comment on your sample here on MyDigitalStudio.net.

The prize? As usual, one download for free, but this time it will be from the downloads released on Tuesday, February 4!

Happy designing! And don’t forget to tag your samples with “Divided Page” before Friday, February 1 at noon (MT). Click here for the official rules.

Make sure to include the capitals and quotation marks in your tag. If your sample has been tagged correctly, you’ll be able to find it under Samples by clicking on the new link: Divided Page.
