Testing a way to sponge the edge of a card in Stampin Up's My Digital Studio 2. Inspired by a suggestion posted by Debbie Elaine Rodefer.
Details on how to come. Basically I added splatters around the edge and decreased opacity.
It's not an amazing card. Ignore that whole center part. Does the edge look like faux sponging? Does it need to be more opaque? Looking for some feedback. Thanks.

Looks great. Maybe vary the opacity a little more. Can't wait to try this myself.

Comment by Debbie Elaine Rodefer on October 17, 2012 at 7:39pm Hi Traci, Your sponging looks great. Please let me know how you did this, I've not worked with the splatter feature.
Comment by Traci Gardner on October 17, 2012 at 12:27pm Thanks for the feedback. Will definitely play with the idea some more!
Using the splatter stamp is a brilliant idea! Try varying the opacity from one application to another as when I sponge traditionally, not every application is the same density around the edge of a card. I'm going to go play with this now.
Comment by Martha Inchley on October 17, 2012 at 3:32am The idea is definitely there! Very nice! Maybe add another layer of splatter, move it in a bit and change the opacity even lower to give the fading look... does that make sense? Not sure if it will work, but that's what I would try. Also the top and right side look more like faux sponging as they are more bumpy and wavy where the other 2 sides are very linear. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Looks very good to me! I look forward to learning how you did your MDS sponging. TFS!
