My cousin found this old photo of her and asked me to incorporate it into her Christmas card design this year. It took me a while to get inspired with an idea I liked that would really feature this cool retro photo. I finally thought of using shapes filled with lyrics from a Christmas song -- that led to much Googling to find the right song. I found this Elton John song recorded in 1973 that really reflected the era and the photo so I quoted from it and attached the text to the ornament punches. The DSP is from Letters to Santa. My cousin is thrilled with the card and ordered 51! Oh, and since my cousin has a flamingo theme thing I also added a little flamingo stamp to the photo (sort of a "Where's Waldo with a flamingo).
