I have an Epson Stylus Photo R1900 that also prints 12 x 12 sheets. While I love using the professional print service to get true colors, there are times when I can't wait and I need immediate gratification!
My printer settings will probably be slightly different, but since they are both Epson let's see if this helps. Some of this you have probably already done!
Here is how I set it up when I am in My Digtial Studio and am ready to print a 12 x 12 page:
- on the top, go to File and select Print
- on the Print Options window that comes up, select a page to print, and go over to the right under "What printer do you want to use?" and select your Epson Workforce
- on the bottom left, click on Print Setup and you can specify the paper size there. When you click OK, it should change the paper size that is displayed on the Print Options Screen. Note that in that Print Setup box, you can also change the margin size. I generally type zero in each of the boxes and the system will change it to the minimum (some printers do not do borderless printing)
- over on the right, you should also click on Properties under the printer selection and specifiy the type of paper you are using, in order to get optimal print results
Hope that helps! Feel free to browse my blog as I am adding more & more info on My Digital Studio - I love the program!
Thanks so much for taking the time to type all that out for me Carol. There is something in the settings with MDS that is not letting me print. I just exported to jpeg, opened with Paint and printed it from there using a User Defined 12 x 12 size and that worked great! Thanks again!
Hi again Pam,
Glad you found a way to print - but it would be nice to skip those extra steps!
You know, I didnt mention it in the first post, but I do have the same result when I first select the Epson printer in MDS... it does not allow me to select 12 x 12 when I click "Properties" under the printer name on the right - but it did allow me to change it on the bottom left under "Print Setup"
If that doesn't work I suggest you try calling tech support!
